Canadian Selah Music Awards 2026 : Calgary a célébré l’adoration, l’excellence et l’unité
Les Canadian Selah Music Awards 2026 se sont achevés après un week-end de célébration à Calgary, en Alberta, réunissant des finalistes venus du Canada et d’ailleurs, ainsi que des artistes chrétiens, responsables de louange, professionnels de l’industrie musicale, pasteurs, médias et invités internationaux. L’événement s’est tenu à First Alliance Church et au Martha Cohen Theatre, Werklund Centre, avec pour fil conducteur la gloire de Jésus-Christ à travers la musique.
Durant deux jours, les participants ont vécu des moments d’adoration, de communion fraternelle, d’enseignement et de célébration. Selon la note officielle, cette édition 2026 a mis en lumière la fidélité de Dieu tout en honorant celles et ceux qui utilisent leurs dons pour proclamer l’Évangile et faire avancer le Royaume de Dieu par la musique.
Un premier jour placé sous le signe de l’enseignement et de l’adoration
La première journée s’est déroulée à First Alliance Church, où plusieurs conférenciers ont animé un atelier destiné à encourager et équiper les artistes, responsables de louange, auteurs-compositeurs, producteurs et responsables de ministère. La note précise qu’ils y ont partagé leur sagesse biblique, leur expérience du ministère et leur expertise professionnelle.
En soirée, des artistes chrétiens canadiens et internationaux sont montés sur scène pour un concert d’adoration présenté comme l’un des grands temps forts du week-end. L’événement a souligné que l’amour de Dieu transcende les nations, les cultures, les langues et les générations.
Une deuxième journée marquée par le tapis rouge et la remise des prix
La célébration s’est poursuivie au Martha Cohen Theatre, Werklund Centre, où le tapis rouge a débuté à 16 h 00 avant la cérémonie officielle lancée à 18 h 00. Les organisateurs indiquent que la soirée a récompensé l’excellence dans la musique chrétienne à travers 58 catégories, tout en remettant des prix de reconnaissance spéciale à des personnalités et organisations ayant profondément marqué la musique et le ministère chrétiens.
Les prestations d’artistes canadiens et internationaux ont rythmé la soirée dans une atmosphère d’adoration, d’espérance et d’inspiration. Le fondateur et PDG des CSMA, Dr Elio Alcindor, a déclaré que ce week-end n’avait jamais été uniquement une remise de prix, mais avant tout une occasion de rendre toute la gloire à Dieu, de célébrer Sa fidélité et d’honorer ceux qui servent par la musique.
Bien que l’équipe des CSMA n’ait pas explicitement communiqué la fenêtre d’évaluation officielle dans son bilan, l’analyse des œuvres récompensées apporte un éclairage clair. En observant les dates de parution des principaux singles et albums de la liste des lauréats 2026, on constate que la période d’éligibilité s’est étendue de juin 2024 jusqu’a la fin 2025.

Les organisateurs indiquent déjà que les candidatures pour les Canadian Selah Music Awards 2027 ouvriront officiellement en septembre prochain. Les artistes chrétiens, équipes de louange, chorales, auteurs-compositeurs, producteurs, musiciens et ministères du Canada et du monde entier seront invités à soumettre l’œuvre que Dieu leur a confiée.
Cette édition 2026 a ainsi confirmé la vocation des CSMA à reconnaître l’excellence, à encourager les ministères musicaux et à rassembler la communauté chrétienne autour d’une même mission. La note officielle exprime également une profonde gratitude envers les finalistes, artistes, conférenciers, bénévoles, commanditaires, partenaires, églises, médias et participants ayant contribué au succès de l’événement.
