LYRICS:
3. Fire!
Words by Mark Mohr. Music by Justin Nalimu, Mark Mohr and Renato Sobral
When I was a kid I had to learn not to play with matches
When I saw my whole hillside light up
Right now I’m about ready to set this track up on fire
‘Cause I’m on fire for Christ
You know what I mean? Huh!
We’re marching for the Gospel
Touch hearts with this Gospel
Top charts with this Gospel
But we don’t charge for the Gospel
We’re making disciples
And giving out them Bibles
We don’t do it for survival
We’re in it for revival
Give me the reggae music
Give me the drums in the bass
Me nah come to fret about it
Me no bother watch no face (stress about what others are doing or thinking)
Give me the true foundation
Give me the kick and the snare
Jah know say Christafari bursting like a nuclear!
CHORUS:
Fire! Fire!
Blaze it up higher
Fire! Fire!
For the Messiah
Fire! Fire!
Raise it up higher
Fire! Fire!
Burning for the Messiah
BRIDGE:
You see the fireman come
Preaching ‘bout Jah Kingdom
Going to every nation
To bring them to the Kingdom
With salvation
Fire, a woah oh oh
Fire
Fire, a woah oh oh
Fire
We’re marching for the Gospel
Touch hearts with this Gospel
Top charts with this Gospel
But we don’t charge for the Gospel
Too many rappers are...

More on the video:
A couple of years ago, Christafari began what we’ve been calling our “Backslider Series.”
Today we release Part 5 of the story. This video features Ray (a character who previously overdosed and went to rehab) now seeing outsiders rejected at a hyper-legalistic church. What will his response be?
Our “Outsiders (Victims of Tradition)” music video also features Mark and Avion on a search for more outsiders, just as they did in our “One Thing Remains” video.
You’ll also see our drummer Markus Ritchie playing a young Mark Mohr as a continuation of our “The Love of Jah” music video that chronicled the inception of Christafari.
In many ways this video is a coming together of what is now being dubbed as “Christafari‘s Cinematic Universe.”
This short film was inspired by true stories that took place in the 90s when Christafari was just getting started. Though it happened almost three decades ago, this controversial message is still relevant today and we believe it will resonate with many!

LYRICS:
Outsiders (Victims of tradition)
Lyrics by Mark Mohr
Wayo oh oh
This one’s for the fringe
To those who don’t fit in
We’re on the outside looking in
And this one’s for us fools
For breaking all the rules
Because...

Verse 1
I’ve seen it before
Felt it before
Peace I can’t explain
Love that won the war
Is here now
Can you feel it now?
Let it cover you
Chorus
Let the Spirit rise up
Let it break through the walls
Beat down the doors
Crash through the windows
And cover the earth, the earth,
The earth, the earth
Let the Spirit rise up
Let it break through the walls
Beat down the doors
Crash through the windows
And cover the earth, the earth,
The earth, the earth
The earth, the earth, the earth, the earth
Verse 2
Bricks won’t hold it in
Lies won’t hold it down
Love will let it out
And we will let it drown
The darkness The fears and brokenness
Can you feel it now?
Let it cover you
Bridge
Fear has no choice but to bow
Chains have no choice but to break
Shame has no choice but to leave
In Your presence
Fear has no choice but to bow
Chains have no choice but to break
Shame has no choice but to leave
In Your presence
